Ash preservation options

Tree of Life ®

A registered trademark of La Piedad, it is a unique and respectful option for those who choose cremation as a way to honor their loved ones. The uniqueness of the Trees of Life® lies in the process that follows the placement of the urns: once their biodegradability is activated, they break down naturally on contact with water and soil moisture. Available at the Desamparados, Escazú, Coronado, Santo Tomás, Palmares, Alajuela and San Pablo cemeteries.

Ash Vault (Cenizario)

Plots specifically designed to hold two urns in a vertical position, respectfully keeping the ashes of those who have passed. Each ash vault is finished with a marble medallion bearing the loved one's name, giving families a personalized place for remembrance and visits. Available in Desamparados, Escazú, Coronado, Santo Tomás, Palmares, Alajuela and San Pablo.

Columbaria

Elegant structures for the conservation of ashes; they resemble lockers and offer space for up to 2 urns. It is a flexible service that can be arranged monthly or with a rental of up to 15 years, adapting to each family's needs. Located at the Desamparados, Moravia and Heredia cemeteries.
