La Piedad was born with a clear purpose: to offer a dignified, accessible and humane funeral service for every family in Costa Rica.
In 1994, the Ortuño Victory family, originally from Desamparados and with a deep coffee-growing tradition, joined forces with a group of visionary entrepreneurs to respond to a growing need: the saturation of public cemeteries and the lack of adequate spaces for respectful, orderly farewells.
From day one, our commitment was to provide comprehensive solutions in cemetery parks, funeral homes and cremation, always with fair prices, payment facilities and warm care.
Today, three decades later, La Piedad has 11 cemetery parks, 9 funeral homes, 2 crematoriums and coverage across most of the national territory.
We have grown, but without losing sight of the essential: to accompany each family with respect, professionalism and humanity.
